April 19 we made reservations at Hilton Garden, was quite a special night, we order chicken caeser salad, chicken came out like was left over from other dish with bone in, little amount of salad, we order medium rare steak, came out well done, and the mash was touched burnt that you can actually smell burnt, oh and drink happy hour, wine on menu is 30 MYR but happy hour is 45 MYR 1 + one wine, how does that make sense, would be our first and last time.

I checked in 13 April 2024 and was deliberately placed in a room next to a service elevator for the hilton garden staff usage. I could hear the movement of this elevator all day into the night. Second, there was someone in the room right above the one that I occupied that every on the hour dropping something on the floor late into the night, early morning hours. Third, I admit that the housekeeping staff overall works hard but I don't understand(nor makes sense) why they clean rooms until 8-9 pm? Guests are beginning to settle in for the evening and don't want to hear the staff banging, vacuuming or even talking loud at this time of day. Fourth, there's this annoying constant wind(possible water flowing through your pipes) sound going through the room that I occupied that appeared to be obviously blatant and controlled. I even moved to another room to no avail the planned disturbances and nonsense followed. Fifth, even after unnecessarily allowing the water to run for 8 straight minutes, the sink and shower didn't produce any hot water.

I booked for using HH points+the value was not cheap but OK. Stayed @South, which is higher than North tower. During my stay only place I was reckognized as HH Diamond was the Breakfast, where they give You corresponding small paper to be placed at the table. On reception there was zero mentioning, none in the room (i.e. welcome plate with fruits etc, as customary even on cheapest H hotels). also I was not given any upgrade (i booked single room, as was travelling alone). The room is tiny, one single bed). What if You want to bring another person to Your room as HH Diamond? Pool is OK, but gets very crowded and looks a bit dirty. Bkfast OK for me, as I like Asian food, but hardly any fruits or salads. As a Garden Inn-very limited selection.Service at Breakfast was good. I used to stay years back in Petalina Jaya Hilton-this beats the Garden Inn by far. so if You do not mind using MTR-stay in Petaling Jaya.

Room/Bathroom very spacious and nice! Small but nice rooftop pool with perfect view! Recommendable! Recommendation: Yes! I would go there again. 8 points out of 10. Value for money: : *** Location: ** Cleanliness: *** Staff: ** Amenities: ****Nice rooftop pool with a gorgeous view! Negative: 1.)The panorama window was dirty, especially from the outside. I did not like the area where the hotel is located. You can see there must have been better times. Positive: 1.) Nice rooftop pool with a gorgeous view! The big room with 2 double beds has a big 4-5 metre curved panorama window with a KL Tower view. In front of the panorama window there is a 3 metre long curved sofa/bench with cushions and a kind of a movable writing desk. I enjoyed sitting on that bench a lot, doing my paperwork . I liked the view from the 13th (?) floor. The bathroom is spacious, with a big mirror and- rare in Malaysia- a separate shower area so after taking a shower the bathroom is not flooded. Due to the size and beauty of room and bathroom and rooftop pool I felt very well and would come back here!

When in KL I tend to stay here or at the sister hotel next door, the Garden Inn North. This has the pool, both have the Petronis Twin Towers view for a couple of extra ringit more. Small gym in the North. Staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs from security through to reception, breakfast staff and housekeeping. There is also a WhatsApp facility to communicate with staff which is a cool touch. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Water provided along with tea and coffee. Local and international movie channels on flat screen TV. Bathroom has great shower power and stable too. Only area of improvement for me was breakfast - mainly replacement of salad and fruit items. All in all well recommended ! You get plenty of value for money.
